Is this brush good for 2.5?

Yes it is due to the fact that it’s a hard brush. Make sure when you wash the brush, apply only a little of cold water. From my experience too much water caused damages to the brush.

Is this brush firmer than the #600?

No, the bristles are not as firm and seem to be spaced out a little more. Not completely happy with it.
