The SoundBox SCAP5D is a 5 Farad digital capacitor designed for car audio systems with a capacity of 5000 watts. The capacitor helps to buffer power current and prevent draining of the car battery or damage to the alternator. It can be wired with 0 Gauge wire and comes without a distribution connecting block. The capacitor charging time can vary but can take 15-30 minutes to reach full capacity. The capacitor does not come with a speaker signal filter. Overall, most customers experienced a positive improvement in voltage and power buffer with easy installation. However, some experienced quality control problems, and others had issues with amps still dropping with bass hits.
