Exactly what screws (size, length etc) do I need to mount brackets in concrete apt walls?

I am not sure if your apt management has requirements on what size screws can be screwed into the walls but I used the screws that came with the barre and a power driver to screw it into the wall and the barre is very sturdy. No problems. It’s being used daily since it’s purchase in late winter/early spring 2020. I hope this helped.

Are the wall brackets adjustable width? Or what is the distance between the brackets that attach to the wall?

The brackets can be mounted at any width. However, they MUST be mounted into the studs in the wall to provide the proper strength.

Could this be mounted on a concrete wall?

Yes, but the screws that come with it are designed to go into wood so you would need to buy different screws designed for concrete.
