I received my binder and the design on the Back is upside down. Is that how they are all made or did I get one that is defunct?

Mine has a design on inside of back cover that is the correct way.

What is the actual size?

13' x 11' x 2' for binder 4' x 6' recipe cards 11' x 9' for plastic sheets that holds 2 of the recipe cards (1 side of the cards says recipe, 1 side says directions) per sheet. You can also use the reverse side.

Do the sleeves hold printed 8.5 x 11 sheets or just cards?

Just cards. But I’m sure you can fit your own sleeves , because I was thinking of this myself to have a mixture of sleeves. So far I really like this book. It works for me. I have lots of recipes collected over the years and I love the flexibility you have to arrange them the way you like or change it.

This Wood Recipe Book Binder comes with 25 plastic 8.5" x 11" left-loading sleeves that hold 50 recipe cards and includes 50 4"x6" double-sided recipe cards, and six index recipe dividers. Customers have asked for a 2-inch version of the binder, but the current version is one inch. Though the seller has not currently offered larger protector sleeves, they plant to in the future. The rings are too small, making a major portion of the ring unusable, and the wooden binder may break easily.
