Yes, you can remove the handle quickly and easily by squeezing both sides with one hand. The handle does fold over the tray as well so that this item is compact.

Where is this product manufactured?

It now says on this Amazon page that it's made in China. :(

Does it melt any semi soft cheese? Do you have to buy special cheese?

I have tried many cheeses with it... It seems to depend, but generally the rule is regular and hard melt great on it. Soft cheese doesn't seem to melt that well at all.

Can you use it for saganaki?

I don’t think so. Since saganaki needs high heat and to be lit on fire. This is more of a plastic feel to it and only uses heat of small candle.

Could you toast bread on it? Or make a toasted sandwich? Thinking of something for simple hot food during power outages.

No, I do not think that would work very well. The only thing heating it is 2 tealight candles, I would not expect it to melt anything that is in between two pieces of bread.

Can this be used on stove top or grill?

No, you heat it with tealight candle.

Does the 8-person size come with spatulas? How many?

I'm honestly not sure. I don't have enough friends to need the 8 person one lol I got a single...but I searched through the pics. Most of the pics show 3 spatulas, but one of the pics shows 8...so I'm assuming you'll get 8.
