Yes, this unit will accept a standard three prong grounded plug. I think that's what is referred to by 'us plug'.

Not understanding the settings on the thermostat. Does the - 55 really mean that it wont allow the heater come on until it reaches -55 ?

Wish I knew - I also own the Bio Green thermostat and after relentless determination, cannot figure out how it works. I've always considered myself a relatively intelligent individual, yet the online & written instructions are totally confusing. I finally unplugged the thermostat and ran my greenhouse heater manually all winter because it wasn't turning on & off as expected. My current thermostat is a replacement because the first one arrived broken. I received excellent service from Bio Green - now if I could only figure out how it works.

I’m looking for a replacement temperature probe cable

I do not know if a replacement cable is available but I suggest contacting BioGreen to check availability. If there is any of the old cable remaining it is probably and Iron/Constantan cable. By twisting just a turn or two together and fusing the two wires together a new thermocouple junction will be formed. This junction will generate the voltage needed by the controller. No calibration should be required. Good luck!
