They are comparable to 502 and 505 Levis. Don't know about the 511s. The quality of these is OK. But they are a bit expensive. IMHO, the only reason to buy them is the option to get lengths, e.g. 31L, that are not carried elsewhere. That is why I buy them.

What weight is the denim, I’m looking for less than 12 oz material?

I don't know what the exact weight is, but I can tell you that my husband loves them because we live in south Florida and on top of that he has serious back issues and these are light enough he can wear them year-round and not be uncomfortable. He has been wearing either Tommy Hilfiger or Ralph Lauren jeans and after a few hrs the weight would make him so uncomfortable he'd be miserable. They are well worth the money.

I bought a pair of Goodthreads but my wallet keeps sliding out due to shallow pockets. How deep are back pockets?

I have a tri-fold wallet and it stays in perfectly, the pockets are standard like in traditional jeans. Hope this helps...

In general, both are Amazon brands, but the Goodthreads tend to be higher quality (fabric, QC, and stitching) and a little more expensive. When given a choice, I buy the GT

Hello, the pair most readily at hand has a tag inside saying India. They seem to hold up well, I think, and are relaxed, not stiff, right out of the package new. I think it's a good deal. I hope this helps you. Be well.

It depends on your body and whether you work out or not. If you spend most of the time watching tv and are generally dumpy-looking, you’ll look terrible in any clothing
