Does this device actually work? The FTC says these things are rip offs. What's the truth?

The truth is... This is the best product! It saved us over $1k. Bats are protected in NJ and no one would come help us till after Aug 15. We bought this back in June and within a week we saw no bats coming back into my house. A week prior we had seen 15 bats leave to feed one night. Means there were definitely more than 15 in my attic.

First off test button does not work. Secondly how do you know what settings you are using? How high or low?

It might be defective. Mine makes clicking sounds in three different patterns. It did not affect my cats.
