VSM Hand Pads are versatile and can be used for a variety of purposes, including metal applications. They come in different grits - Coarse/Brown (100 grit), Medium/Black(180 grit), Fine/Green(220 grit), Very Fine/Maroon(240 grit), Ultra-Fine/Gray(400 grit), and Super Fine/White (no grit). The pads are very thin, and some customers have reported that the abrasive was already falling off the material when they received them. However, overall, VSM Hand Pads have been described as durable and of good quality for the price. They have been used for paint prep, gasket cleaning, plastic bumper cover cleaning, and even to polish out scratches on stainless steel surfaces. Although they have been advertised as safe for use with min-wax spray high gloss, customers have reported that they can scratch polyurethane finishes.
