The label on mine was entitled 'Natural Rye Berries.' It did not state specifically that it is non-GMO. The labels look different now. Personally, I've never heard of GMO rye. It is not a major crop grown in the USA.

Are these sterilized?

When I purchased these, the description stated the seeds could be sprouted. Sterilized seeds would not sprout. I sprouted the seeds I bought. That would lead me to say the seeds I bought were not sterilized.

Are these cracked rye berries?

No, these are whole rye berries.

Are these suitable for milling? Please, don't answer if you haven't tried it.

We milled it and had no problems with it. Baked bread with it and it was delicious.
