Exactly the SIM card is blank. The data you can rewrite it. PIN CODE 1234.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago and still haven't received a link for software. How do you get in touch with the seller for the software?

There should be a small CD with the reader.

Every time I try to read a card I get an error. usim plmnwact: 6a82. How do I fix this?

6a82: file not found. You are either: * sending a 'select file' command (long APDU) with an inexistent file name * sending a short APDU with a wrong select code This happens usually if you didn't check the card type (e.g. send a bank card command to a SIM card) or if your card is not initialized/configured (e.g. try to use crypto functions without seed or keys). Without the card type, the command and the personalization steps you did, there's no right answer.

Have these sim cards been used successfully with pysim?

Pysim requires the PIN-ADM value to provision the card. I'm still hunting for the default value.

Do you happen to know the pin-adm code for the provided opencellssim cards needed to manually program the sim's?

That is where I got hung up too........will respond later if I figure it out but for now I'm sorry but that's a negative.

NO, that reader doesn't work at all. The seller told me they were going to send software and never did. Don't buy it, don't waste your money...

The LTE WCDMA ICCID SIM USIM 4G Secure Card Reader Writer Programmer by XCRFID is a device that can be used to program blank, rewritable SIM cards. The default ADM code is 3838383838383838 and the PIN code is 1234. However, some customers reported experiencing errors when using the device, and there were also problems with the software CD that was supposed to come with the reader.
