Although it has been sometime since I purchased the skull caps, there were two screws in the package to be used for mounting the antlers to the caps.

Will what attach to mountain mikes record keeper kit? this is all I see of the question, can not give you an answer without the other part of the question. But I can tell you this, the smaller skull plate handles horns with a base circumference of 4 7/8 inches and the larger skull plate handles 5 inches and above on the base circumference. just measure right above the burr at the bottom of the beam. Depends on your wood kit, but as long as it's wider than your shed mount, you should be o.k.

Is there a kit like this available for elk sheds? I seen the whole skull for elk but i dont want to go that route.

I believe Redheads has a wall plaque, but other than that all I have see were imitation skull kits, probably to support the weight of the antlers.

What if my antlers are too big for the ones included in the package?

They did ok for me with a ten point that had an eighteen inch spread. But I am not sure about a giant rack. Advice I have is to take good pictures to compare the final look with original look. I did a little grinding to get a more original angle of growth. The ones I have mounted still attached to their natural skull have a more upward growth look than the kit skull.

Can you mount elk antlers with this kit? It says white or mule deer on the package.

I don't think the product would support the weight for elk. I had to get a different wall anchor to even hold the deer antlers I have. But overall I like the product. It solved my problem!

Would it help to predrill the alter before screwing it down on the skull?

Yes, but use a much smaller drill bit than needed. Also, if these are big, heavy antlers, I use a second smaller screw to keep the antler from turning.
