Yes, it can definitely punch the corrugated cardboard.

It is a standard 6mm size. Because if converted to inches, there will be a decimal point. It was written as an approximate 1/4 inch.

Can you see where it will place the hole before you punch it?

Yes. You can sort of see in the photo that there's a small, vertical (perpendicular) indentation on the side of the silver part of the punch.

We have not tested it on silver concho. Please be aware that even if it can punch holes on silver concho, it may reduce the life of the product.

Why do several of the answered questions refer to it as making 6mm holes when the description says it makes 8mm holes?

It should be able to punch a star pattern on the guitar picks only if this is what you want. The thickness of the guitar picks is limited, and it is best not to be thicker than 0.8mm.

Anybody know what the size of the hole of a regular hole i need one smaller than that?

As you can see from the description, the hole diameter is 6mm (1/4'').
