This galvanized steel canister is suitable for storing cookies or 24 cups of flour in an airtight container. The seal is integrated into the base, and the lid is easy to remove. The printing on the canisters is clear and easy to read. The coating is assumed to be food safe as it is used to store cookies. The seal is strong enough to keep the contents fresh for a long time. Depending on the age of the children, it may or may not be easy for them to get into the canister by themselves. The galvanized steel Construction is powdered coated and painted. The canister is not dishwasher safe because the metal and the coating may have different expansion rates.
