It comes in a cardboard box. No case. Just metal bracket in pic. I don’t recall there being a manual either.

Will it work on Yamaha 3 carb 40hp outboard ?

worked fine 4 cylinder m / cycle but you have to use a blanking tool to block off each cylinder as each carb is then running on its own carb not on the whole inlet manifold . i am not sure about a outboard but it is possible if you have seperate vaccum lines to each cylinder / hope this helps laurie r

Will this work for a 97 mercury 150 outboard ?

Not real familiar with that motor

Will this work on a 1999 Yamaha R1?

It worked on my Kawasaki Concours, I had a few vacuum leaks that were fixed quite easily. It should work on your R1.
