Is this compatible with the hydroshot 40 V model?

Yes. Plus, if for some reason you needed additional parts, you can easily purchased them at the local big box store. That said, I found the "soda bottle" connection a waste. Better to use a bucket with the flaoting suction hose.

Is there an adapter to use with garden hose

To attach a garden hose to the Hydroshot, first remove the hose adapter under the body and in front of the handle guard by turning it counterclockwise. You may need an adjustable wrench to remove it. Carefully turn this counter-clockwise. When removing the adapter, be careful not to drop the rubber gasket filter. The Hydroshot will not work properly without this piece. Attach the hose fitting to the Hydroshot and gently pull to ensure it is secure. When removing the hose, be sure not to lose the rubber gasket filter and that it is in place before re-attaching the hose adapter in a clockwise motion. Do not overtighten the hose adapter when replacing it.

Has anyone been able to create enough suction to draw water into the hose? Do I need to prime the pump?

I just placed the cap on a 2 liter bottle w/o hose and it worked fine. Okay for small jobs but uses the water very quickly almost not worth the effort.

Will this connect to a 2 liter soda bottle?

It should but i attached the bottle right to the hydroshot. Think i had to get an adapter. Not expensive.

No, the connector dose not require any additional adapter (s). I am using it with a Ryobi washer. Everything fits and It works fine.

Simple question. Can this cap 1. connect to a standard garden hose and 2. to a two liter plastic bottle poked with holes for use as a sprinkler?

I use this to put into a 2-liter bottle and then attach it to my Worx power washer.

Will this work with the ryobi power cleaner?

The WORX bottle cap connector is not designed to operate with power cleaners from a different brand.

Can you use this with a 2 liter bottle instead of their soap dispenser attachment?
