Question : My router has separate ssids for 2.4 & 5 ghz bands. will this extender support this?
Answer : Our router also has 2.5 and 5.0 ghz. Not sure if there are separate ssids for each, but this extender works for us.
Question : I have this product and it works great. but can i purchase more of the big ones without the smaller one?. i would like to place em in different rooms.
Answer : I was in the same boat but apparently you cannot buy the WiFi ones separately. So I ended up buying the TP-Link AV1000 ethernet version because I could put them in places where I could run an ethernet cable. Unfortunately I could never get them all to pair together. I contacted customer service and they had me try a couple things but it would never work for me. I ended up returning them. But I would definitely buy the WiFi ones if I could buy the extender only. Until then, I will just use as-is.
Question : I have a large property with electric lines extending from the home to outlet points 1000 ft out. Can I use this to extend to that distance?
Answer : 1,000 feet is a stretch, but if the outlet points are wired to a breaker back in the home, your best chance of success would be to locate the breaker in the home that feeds the outlet points and plug the transmitter into an outlet powered by the same breaker. In any case, the observed speeds are likely to be significantly reduced from the speeds in the home.
Question : How many powerlines can i connect on the same line, if i have a large building can i connect around 15 powerlines using the same electric line ?
Answer : Yes - the TL-WPA7510 Kit (TL-PA7010 + TL-WPA7510) support up to 16 nodes within the same Powerline network. For more information, please refer to our helpful FAQ: https://www.tp-link.com/us/faq-434.html Regards TP-Link Support
Question : I have a larger home, so will need more extra extenders to achieve good coverage. Can I purchase additional extenders?
Answer : Yes. I use two different tp-link extenders at home. They can have different networks or share one network.
Question : Can I purchses a second remote unit?
Answer : It looks like you can add a 3rd adapter to the set, I've read it somewhere on their website in the instructions for how to connect an additional adapter.
Question : Where do i get extra extenders?
Answer : The Powerline adapters are only sold in kits, the WiFi extenders are not sold individually. Best Regards TP-Link Support
Question : Is it possible to just buy the one unit that has wifi and not the pair? i already have a few other wired ones in my house.
Answer : I looked but could not find just the wifi extender for sale. Be careful though because the technology has evolved and there may be compatibility issues if you try to mix and match brands and models.
Question : I need only the wifi adapter... where i can get them? (already have tl-pa7010)
Answer : I have the same question, I did not find an official answer, but I surmised that there can only be one pairing, so you would need another pair and establish yet another network.
Question : Where can i buy additional extenders? Or what's the product number of the stand alone extenders?
Answer : TP-Link AC1750. Check out the manufacturer's website if necessary.
