The Arctic P8 is a high-quality, easy-to-install fan that moves a lot of air and operates quietly. The screws that come with the fan are self-tapping and easy to install but do not include a 3-pin to molex adapter. To run the fan outside of a computer application, an AC to DC 12v & 5v 4 pin molex 2A adaptor and a fan controller with the number of channels required for the application is needed. The fan provides feedback to the motherboard and its speed can be controlled by the motherboard. However, anything having to do with temperature is the responsibility of the motherboard and the firmware controlling it. Key
