The one I have has a range from 1 3/4 to 5 3/4 inches. Works great on my Duramax oil and fuel filters. Also works on the Allison filter.

Does it work on filter with stud?

It is designed for the metal can style filters that screw on.

What are the min. & max. diameters that this tool can handle?

I would not buy tool again. It would not cut heavy duty performance filters.

Is the cutting wheel replaceable?

I don't think so. It works well and I don't think it should ever need replacement unless you're cutting filters everyday.
