The backpack weighs 5 lbs 4 oz / 2.4 kg.

Is there any pockets inside of the bag?

Only one net material pocket that is about 2”h x 4”w. All other pockets are on the outside. It’s a well made bag. It wheels easily and works well as a large backpack.

Did it smell when it arrived? Does it off gas?

There was no smell when it arrived. We bought this item for school use (Elementary school). It did not last for a whole month.

Is the outside larger zip pocket large enough to hold several magazines?

Yes it is. It could hold a book and several magazines. I have had mine since Oct 2018 and take it back and forth to work 5 days a week. It is still in great shape and the wheels work perfect.

Do the wheels dig into your back when you use it as a pack?

Mine does not dig into my back.

Will it hold a tennis racket and zip?

No. You need something with more Length. But you could leave the handle of the tennis racket sticking out and still zip it up some.

Will it fit in overhead baggage area?

Yes. Its a little bigger than a normal sized backpack, but will fit overhead.

Will a 15" laptop fit inside?

Yes but the this item is not padded enough to protect a laptop. It did not hold up a semester for my children.
