You can edge 50mm strips, even smaller but you need to attach the thin strip to another piece of material to do it, best with double sided tape.

Does this have the standard 3 point uk plug?

No, it just has a 2 pin plug but you can change it to a 3 pin plug and it works fine too.

What glue does it take? Does it come with glue?

It doesn't take glue! The edging strip is preglued and the glue is melted by the heat from the hot air gun and sets as it is pushed down by the pressure roller as you draw the edging tool along the workpiece. The first 50mm and last 50mm need a bit of practice to get right but the middle bit is a breeze!

What is the maximum edging width we can use to edge a 9mm panel?

You can use up to 22mm edging strip and cut the rest.

Does it come in a carry case?

Unfortunately not, it comes in a cardboard box.

What is the difference between the ag98f and the ag52f?

The ag98f is JUST the edging machine and the ag52f is the set of three - the edging machine plus the double edge trimmer and the end trimmer. Virutex is selling the 3 piece kit for way below the price of the machine alone from anyone else. The machine is a bit of a handful but once mastered is so much quicker than ironing the edging on. The trimmers are also way better than the cheaper imitation trimmers available and spare blades are available. If I were in the market for an edge bander now, would I buy the 52f kit - absolutely yes.

Will this take 30mm edging strip?

We use 44mm, but I'm sure it will take 30mm.

Will this do 2mm pvc edging?

I wouldn't think so as it is a heat gun and gets very hot and could damage the PVC. It's really for wooden iron-on edging.
