Is this clear tape where it breathes or is this more like bandaid material?

It's not clear tape at any point. Throughout the roll it is continuously tan and continuously adhesive. It does not have layers or have an anti-stick area like a bandaid. The adhesive is very mild, almost like craft washi tape. It generally won't stay on in water or where it's being rubbed (like under a sock or ace bandage). However, one can tape over the same area of your body day after day while you are healing, without the allergic reaction that stronger adhesives may cause.

Is this non allergenic?

Not sure about the non allergic. Was provided by a surgeon post skin cancer removal on the face. Was very easy to apply and change regularly.

Is this tape really tan colored? I need it for my face and I don’t want white.

Yes it is tan; I used it to cover white gauze pad strips after Mohs surgeries on my face. The tan color made the area look less noticeable as opposed to the white pad. I wish the pads came in tan!

What is the difference between micropore surgical tape & micropore paper tape?

I think paper tape is for sensitive skin, but it doesn’t adhere so much.

I have seen items having astronomical prices when those items are no longer manufactured and are still desired. Why charge almost $50 for a $10 item which is currently in production is beyond me! Could it be seller is hoping us consumers just fell off the old turnip truck? Buyer beware!

No not breathable. Elastic, strecthes and easy off, I used it for a sprain. The width of it is much smaller than expected only 1/2 inch, would have rather had it wider.

Can this be used directly on a suture or does it need a pad underneath?

Yes use without a pad. I used this tape on top of 3 hand sutures. No issues with tape sticking to the sutures or pulling on them when removing the tape. Actually kept the sutures dry and comfortable.

This micropore surgical tape is tan in colour and continuously adhesive with a mild adhesive that can be applied and removed without pain.
