Can I purchase just a screw cap without a straw hole for transport?

Yes, a 2 pack with a travel lid is available for purchase. Travel lids will also be included in the upcoming accessory replacement pack.

Can we sterilize this product before first use by boiling for 5 minutes?

Sterilization in boiling water is possible, but washing with soapy hot water or a dishwasher cycle before first use is also suitable.
