Doesn’t the MDF suck up water and warp?

I have not had trouble with these warping over about 8 months of use. They are very thick compared to other bat/bat systems. I do clean mine with a quick dunk in a wash bucket and then I sponge them off so there’s not visible water, and let them air dry.

Does it fit a Brent wheel?

Yes if your Brent has a 14” wheel head (most of them do) these bats should fit perfectly.

Will this work with a 10" wheel?

This bat system is made to fit 12” and 14” inch wheel heads with bat pins.

The pottery bat system is a great addition to any studio, with holes that fit standard bat pins (10" apart) and is made to fit 12" and 14" wheel heads. Made of thick MDF board, it's smooth, sturdy, and doesn't warp easily. Consisting of an insert that is easy to add and remove, it's effortless to switch between multiple projects without having to wait for the clay to dry. The bat system greatly improves the evenness of pieces. While works typically curve over time, these bats stay flat the entire way through, resulting in a perfect pot every time. The track at the bottom of the bat is convenient when removing wet pottery without damaging it. The wire cutter gently cuts across the bottom of the piece. Overall, the pottery bat system is a great investment for any potter.
