They are glass. I guess you can choose between glass or plastic when ordering or that this listing was for plastic ones before. The reviews are ordered by the listing so if there are more than one product in the same listing, i.e., when you choose color or size or different product, the reviews get bunched together.

How thick are the bottoms?

The bottoms are 1/2 inch thick. The lid is about 1/4 inch thick.
