The Pony Jorgensen 27091 9-Inch By 7-Inch Medium Duty Woodworker's Vise is a solidly made product that operates smoothly and is a good value for money. It is easy to install and has all the features of a larger vise. Some customers found it difficult to install on existing workbenches with taller side rails, and modifications were needed. The vise has an overall height of 4 5/8" with 3" from the traveling rods to the top of the orange portion. The measure from the screw and rails is 3". The jaw width is 7". Some customers used wooden soft jaws that they made themselves. The vise should be attached from the back-jaw to the front of the bench and from the bottom, not just the bottom. To mount the back jaw to the front edge of the workbench, #10 woodscrews and two 1/4" lag screws underneath should be used, with lag screw length depending on bench thickness. The vise has two machined holes for attaching the woodface with 6mm x 1 pitch screws for mounting. The vise works well and holds pieces securely. However, some customers had issues with the delivery and packaging from Amazon.
