The Bamboo Shield is a product that provides a barrier to prevent bamboo from spreading. It is available in different depths that vary depending on the climate and species of bamboo. The product works to prevent rhizomes from spreading but will not stop viable rhizomes from outside the barrier. Customers should ensure the pieces are abutting or overlapping and well sealed to prevent any openings as roots may find a way through. The barrier must be installed at an angle with the shiny side up to encourage growth upwards instead of downwards. The product can be cut but a deeper depth than 6" is recommended.
