Answer : The keg lid is made from 304 stainless steel.

Answer : Yes, the lid fits cornelius (corny) kegs and similar standard homebrew kegs.

Answer : You can spray sanitizer on the lid area and check for bubbles.

Answer : I haven't experienced any leaks. It is identical to my other lids in regards to sealing (both in ease and quality).
Question : After removing the gas from the post on the lid (and putting it on the regular post), can you leave the carbonation lid on the keg?
Answer : This is completely fine, you can leave the carbonation lid on the keg
Question : Will this lid work with a 75% nitrogen / 25% co2 mixture (beergas)?
Answer : I believe it will work for C02 and nitrogen. It is a porous stone that will dissipate gas with the attached carbonation stone of a micron size .02 or .05. Hope this helps.
Question : Is the tube food grade?
Answer : I would have to say no, although it certainly should be. The tube on mine was truly filthy - gritty and smeared with something. I replaced it before 1st use.
Question : I want to make carbonated beer, how about this carbonation lid? Will there be leak?
Answer : I have this on my Cornelius ball lock keg for beer carbonation. It comes with a new o-ring (pictured) so there should not be leaks. If your keg is old and worn you can always use a little of food grade lube to put around the seal. But for it being new, there shouldn’t be leaks.
Question : Can you order this with pin lock instead of ball lock?
Answer : I don't think so. I had to change out the CO2 supply connector. My ball lock won't fit in my small fridge.
Question : The instructions do not state what temperature to put the kegs while using the carbonation lids. What is the correct temperature?
Answer : When you use a carbonated lid on a keg, it's best to keep the keg at 4-6 degrees Celsius, which is more conducive to melting carbon dioxide into the beer and tastes better
Question : Is the carbonation lid all stainless steel?
Answer : The carbonation lid and diffuser stone are stainless steel, the lid valve is plastic, and the tube is made of silicone. They work well.
