• Intelligent battery monitoring to prevent unwanted switching: Victron Energy Cyrix-ct 12/24-Volt 120 amp looks at the general trend (voltage increasing or decreasing) and reverses a previous action only if the trend has reversed during a certain period of time. The time delay depends on the voltage deviation from the trend
• Protection against overheating (due to a long duration overload): Victron Energy Cyrix will disengage in case of excessive contact temperature, and reengage again after it has cooled down
• Parallel connection in case of emergency (Start Assist): Victron Energy Cyrix can also be engaged with a push button (Victron Energy Cyrix remains engaged during 30 seconds) or a switch to connect batteries in parallel manually. This is especially useful in case of emergency when the starter battery is discharged or damaged
• No voltage loss: Victron Energy Cyrix battery combiners are an excellent replacement for diode isolators. The main feature is that there is virtually no voltage loss so that the output voltage of alternators or battery chargers does not need to be increased

  Answer : The coupler provides a continuous current of 120 A and can peak at 300 A for short durations.
• Question : Can you use those on AGM batteries?
  Answer : Yep! Cyrix doesnu2019t affect the charging, only the discharging. So if your charger supports AGM, you're good.
• Question : Can this be used to trickle charge the starter battery from the leisure batteries?
  Answer : No, you will not be able to charge a starter battery from the service batteries. The starter battery must be connected to the alternator.
• Question : Can this be used to prioritize the leisure battery and top up the starter battery?

• Question : I have a 24-volt vehicle system, alternator, batteries, etc. Can I use this to charge the 12-volt leisure batteries from the 24-volt system?
  Answer : Hi there, most 24v vehicles use 2x 12v batteries in series. If this is the case for you, then all you need to do is connect the Victron unit across the positive and negative of just one of the two vehicle batteries. If that's not your situation, then I would hazard a guess that this unit may not work.

• Question : My leisure battery is a 400Ah LiFePO4 battery, my van is a lead-acid 100Ah battery. Would this work on my system?
  Answer : Yes, it would charge the leisure battery as long as the vehicle battery is fully topped up. It will disconnect if the vehicle battery falls below a certain threshold. This is to protect the vehicle battery from becoming too discharged.
• Question : Connected as directed, started van, output of 14+v, no switching occurring to leisure battery at 12.2v?
  Answer : I have an ancillary battery on my van for running tools, etc. I find that if this battery is fully charged, i.e., 12v or more, then the unit will not necessarily connect the two batteries together. If it falls fractionally below 12v, the unit will connect, and assuming the engine is running, the charging voltage will be the same as the alternator input voltage.
