Answer : Doesn't look like it is waterproof. It gave readings of over a hundred mph in 40 mile and hour sustained wind, so I sent mine back because it didn't read correctly. It is well put together, though.

Answer : No, it is made in China.
Question : Will this work with iPhone or only android?
Answer : The version of anemometer I purchased did not include Bluetooth connectivity. However, on Amazon's product description page, it does indicate that the Bluetooth version of this anemometer can connect to both IOS and Android phones. You can load the app from the respective app stores and should be able to access all readings.
Question : Wind speed max?
Answer : The wind speed range for the anemometer is 0.3-30m/s or 0.67-67.1mph, according to the specifications on Amazon's product description page.
Question : Will this work for measuring airflow out of a vehicle's vents?
Answer : Yes, it should work. Just blow on the fan blade lightly while holding the unit in your hand, and it will measure the flow velocity.
Question : Can it be calibrated?
Answer : My unit came in perfect condition, calibrated from the manufacturer.
Question : How would you measure the wind direction?
Answer : This anemometer only measures wind speed and temperature, so it can't measure wind direction. If you need to know the exact direction, purchase a fixed anemometer with a wind vane. Otherwise, you should be able to feel where the wind is blowing directly at your face, aim the unit in that general direction, then move it gently to your right and then your left until you find the maximum wind speed.
Question : Can you mount it, like on a patio post?
Answer : Yes, if you unscrew the strap from the bottom of the unit, it will mount on a typical camera tripod.
