Should I buy a size up to fit over clothes?

I don’t think you need to size up to fit over clothes, but we did size up just to get longer wear out of the overalls, we just roll the pant legs a little and it’s perfect, my son is a skinny 3 yr old, we got a 4t, and these will last him a couple years at least.

Does a 2 T snap up on the legs for ease in changing?

The leg snaps are only on the infant sizes 3-24Months.
