The Hunter Sprinkler NODE100 NODE-100 Battery Controller with Solenoid is a single station timer that is easy to install and program, but some customers found the user interface to be complicated. The plastic pieces in the packaging help angle and harness the node to the valve. The product can hold two 9V batteries, but can run off one. If the yellow wire is not needed, it should not be cut. The product is flexible in scheduling and has a pre-installed solenoid but may not fit older valves. Hunter provides good customer care and after-sale servicing. However, some customers have experienced malfunctions after a few seasons and joining multiple controllers should not replace a professional grade irrigation system.
