The tool has a sturdy design that doesn't scratch the rim and helps keep the tire bead off the wheel rim. Made of firm and not brittle plastic, it is larger than its metal competitors and won't scratch your rims. The tube is better in comparison to those made of aluminum, providing more flexibility. However, some customers have reported that it might not fit well on an 18" rim. One customer reported that the clip on the tool broke while changing a 16" tire, but the majority of the customers are happy with their purchase and are able to use it to change tires easily.
