Because everything that’s an attachment is magnetic it all ssticks in place, And the part that holds the dryer feels like silicone to me I am very impressed with how this works to hold the parts in the dryer and I have very little counter space it takes up very little room

What do you do with the cord?

There is a small plastic holder to keep the cord managed to the side. Otherwise the cord hangs. I love this stand for my Dyson hair dryer!
