The Jet JDP-20MF drill press has received mixed customer reviews; despite the product being heavy, well-packaged, and of excellent quality, customers have taken issue with the design of the table, the quality of the chuck, and the lack of a lock in the down position. Customers who have used the drill press for woodworking stated it works great, and it can still be used for metalworking. Technical support is prompt and polite when called, and the Jet drill press is powerful enough to handle mild steel. The table slots are 5/8 inches according to the user, not 1/2 inch as stated in the manual, and T-nut clamp kits purchased by a user worked well with the table slots. On-time this drill press will work great and quietly.
