I wouldn't really use this for anything other than removing keys on keyboards. The wires dont really feel that strong if you have more resistance than a small key cap I'm sure you will just bend the wires or break em. Works well with keyboards no problem but I just have a feeling that the nobs on most sound equipment are fitted more tighly

It works well with all mechanical keyboards. You might have to spread the metal clips just so it goes around the key cap but besides that no problems at all.
