Can I bring this to an airplane (jet blue)

Yes you can use this for your dog on the plane. There are stakes inside that you can push UP that allows the inside to stand up instead of collapsing. Hard to explain. The other thing is to refrain from putting clothes in this or any items in this outside a tablet or a laptop. Any bulky tshirts or whatever will take room away from your pet. Best of both worlds? Well... Here’s what I do: I carry this for my dog for easier airport maneuvers. But then I have a regular Small or Medium Sherpa bag that fits inside this colossal bag to fit under the seat. Remember this is part of your carry-on luggage so you are down 1 item already with this. Sherpas are lovely BUT I don’t like carrying them with a 16lb poodle. This bag is great for redistributing weight as well. Just remember there is a dog inside the bag before TSA. Hahaha It is really comfortable.

What is the difference between this unit and the V-2 one?

Hi there! The main differences between the G-Train and the G-Train v2 are the color - the original GTrain is red and that the v2 is black; and that the v2 has sewn in fiberglass support rods for structure as well as optional interior rods for added structure. Other than these differences they are the same.

Can you lock the zips?

The zippers are really good quality but don’t actually lock down. I don’t have any problems with them unzipping But for my own peace of mind I used a small zip tie. A small paper clip works to.

I have a Maltese and I want to take him with me snowboarding. Will this backpack keep him warm and is it insulated?

Thank you for your great question. This carrier backpack is not designed for weather insulation; however, you can absolutely let your dog wear a coat or vest while riding in the pack.

Yes, they took it back no problem. It was of good quality, just my dog kept trying to get out even though plenty of room. Good luck.

This bag appears as if the dog is crammed in there without any space to move. Can anyone confirm actual space?

Thank you for sharing this concern! Though movement should be minimized by use of the tether for safety, some movement within the pack would certainly be possible. This pack measures around 13" W x 21" H x 10" D, and is recommended for dogs up to 25 lbs. The size of the dog using the pack would of course impact the amount of space.

Can you secure this in a car seat?

It does have the backpack straps, but I don’t think you could secure it so it doesn’t move around. Doesn’t have tight enough straps. Also, no breathing room in the bottom half, so your dog would have to sit straight up the whole time.
