This cable tester is a budget option that has its Pros and Cons. Customers have complained of it failing, and draining batteries when not in use. However, others have praised it for being effective at testing cables and its ability to run using either a 9v battery or USB. It only tests for continuity and shorts, and whilst it is not the most efficient and has a lack of individual wire tests, for its price, it does the job it is intended to do.
