No, you should either use a drill bit made of the appropriate metal or anneal the steel you're trying to drill. And remember to lubricate the bit.

I personally wouldn’t use this on anything. The set I received came dry and unusable. You would be best using something designed for it in the car trade.

Which polishing bars should i use to polish wood

The buffing compound would most likely end up embedded in the wood and ruin your work. These are used for very hard, non-porous materials like glass and metal.
