If your battery is run down it will take less time to discharge before it recharges automatically. A fully charged battery will take a long time to discharge.

This charger does have a DC port on its housing, but I have not looked into it further.

Will this charger charge rechargeable CR2 batteries?

I didn't think that CR2 batteries were rechargeable. It does not mention CR batteries on the list on the back of the EBL charger.
