The TRK Drip Ceradyn Gravity Personal or Group Water Filter is a long-lasting, cleanable 0.2 micron ceramic filter suitable for use in RVs, cabins, base camps, and emergency preparedness. It is capable of filtering out particles as small as 0.2 microns and can successfully filter even stagnant pool water. The filters are rated for up to 40,000 gallons of use but are eroded by cleaning, so in ideal conditions, they last a bit over one year. Pre-filtering and using bleach solutions can help prolong filter life. The Ceradyn model doesn't remove taste from the water, and the filters need to be replaced every 40,000 gallons. The Gravidyn model is a charcoal filter and needs to be replaced every six months. The drip Ceradyn can process slightly more than one gallon of water per hour for about 25 gallons per 24-hour period.
