The coffee maker is made entirely of metal and food-grade silicone materials so that no hot water comes into contact with plastic parts. The unit doesn't emit any steam from the top because it is designed for commercial use. The coffee maker keeps the water hot all the time and will outlast any home models. However, the unit weighs around 20 pounds and may take up significant counter space. The machine can't be used above 5,000 feet. There is no auto shut off and can only be turned off by unplugging it.
