The FLEXI New Classic Retractable Dog Leash Tape is a strong lead suitable for large and active dogs weighing up to 110lbs. The brake button slides into a locking position and remains locked. Some customers prefer the cord, which lasts longer and does not stick in the mechanism. The tape can flatten and twist, necessitating taking the unit apart and rewinding by hand after getting out the kinks. However, the tape does not mildew in the rain, and the leash cord on this model is larger to accommodate larger dogs. There is limited response to customer service inquiries. This brand does get some complaints, but the vast majority of reviews are positive. The leash feels solid and retracts smoothly. It is highly recommended for its durability, retractability, and options on the leash length. However, one customer found the latest leash to be absolute junk that snapped back, and the warranty is limited to the retraction mechanism/technical default. **
