- Question : What is the battery life of the Aqara Cube T1 Pro?Answer : The Aqara Cube T1 Pro has a battery life of up to 2 years.
- Question : What ecosystems does the Aqara Cube T1 Pro work with?Answer : The Aqara Cube T1 Pro works with Homekit, Alexa, and IFTTT.
- Question : What is required to use the Aqara Cube T1 Pro?Answer : An Aqara Zigbee 3.0 Hub is required and sold separately.
- Question : Does this work with Samsung smartthings?Answer : It works with my homeassistant via Zigbee Home Automation (ZHA) and a Sonoff zigbee adapter. So those will likely pair with any zigbee hub but without the Aqara hub the cube will not be discoverable in your Aqara app so it’s more about if the smart things app has support for the device. There are settings for the cube that you might want to change and if it’s not properly supported by smart things you may be out of luck. For example there are two modes for the cube, one where it only registers shakes and twists, a second where it recognizes all of the movements like flip and push. I’m guessing the Aqara app allows you to easily change this setting, but If you get it paired with smart things and find you can’t change it, you can manually change the mode with 5 quick presses of the the pairing button.
- Question : I bought it and I have an Alexa with built-in Zigbee hub. Do I still need an Aqara Zigbee hub or anything to make it work?Answer : There are ways around it, but I would get the $30 E1 hub and be done with it. Then you can use all of their great products without any issues.
