It does distort the sound coming out of the subwoofer. The air makes the fabric act like a string and the distortion is pronounced. How to fix it?

I do expect the fabric to loosen up a bit more and the sound would disappear.

The Soundskins textile cover is an excellent solution to protect Sonos Sub from dings and scratches. It also brings the possibility to match the Sonos gear with the room decor. The cover is easy to install and seamlessly integrates with the Sonos gear. It is hand washable and comes in a charcoal black color only, which can be a limitation for some customers. The Soundskins does not impact the sound performance of the Sonos system, but there were some complaints from customers that the mesh-like fabric causes a distortion effect in the sound. The Soundskins also only serve an indoor function, so there isn't any weather resistance. Overall it's pricey, but a worthy investment to protect the investment in the Sonos All-Rounder Speaker.
