The packaging is luxurious, and the pen is solid, doesn't leak and writes smoothly. The pen features continuous abalone patterning around the barrel and a dedicated posting section that keeps the cap secure. The Schmidt nib is a joy to use and is always ready to write. The pen comes with a very nice converter that has a metal collar. The packaging is impressive, and this pen could be an excellent gift. However, a few people report that the pen tends to leak from time to time; this might be due to the ink used.
