The Minwax 61360444 PolyShades is a stain and polyurethane in one step product. It can be used on floors and over already stained wood. However, it is not recommended for high-traffic areas like floors and steps. The drying time for each coat is approximately three hours. The coverage area per quart is up to 150 square feet. It can possibly be used on wicker furniture. For cabinets, it is suggested to test it on a scrap piece of wood before applying with a sponge roller. Some customers have found the color to be different than expected. It is recommended to use a pre-stain for a more even finish on soft woods. The product has a strong odor and should be used in a well-ventilated area. Overall, it is a good option for creating a farmhouse or dark walnut look, but may not deliver the desired results for other finishes.
