The Mikro-mir 144-028 USS Monitor model kit is an excellent choice for experienced modelers who are passionate about Civil War Naval battleships. It is quite pricey but comes with an impressive amount of detail, making it suitable for use in living history contexts, where it can vividly explain how the Monitor worked, and the different parts involved. However, the kit is also quite crude, with a lot of flash, and the instructions provided are limited, which could be a challenge for inexperienced users. Despite this, if assembled correctly, the kit produces a good-looking battleship that is an exact replica of the original.
