The barrister bookcase slide is an easy-to-use mechanism that allows you to open and close cabinet doors. The slide is easy to install, and everything you need is included in the package. You can use regular cabinet handles or knobs to open the door from a down position. The tolerances, however, are tight for installation, which may pose a challenge. You need to measure the depth of your cabinet to determine what length slide you should order because the depth of your cabinet determines the size of the slide you need. The barrister bookcase slide is a great piece of hardware that works well, but it does not have a self-close piston that will slowly close the door when it is coming down.
