These glass jars are a good option for storing raw fruits, salads and more in the fridge. However, they are not reliable for canning or preserving food. The lids do not fasten properly, and the seal is not very secure. It is possible to use standard regular mouth canning lids on these jars, but their one-piece lids are inadequate for anything that needs to be properly sealed or preserved. The jars are useful for portion control and as an alternative to plastic containers. However, they are not suitable for travel or shipping. The poor quality of the lids makes them hard to trust and can lead to ruined batches of food. Overall, these jars are best for casual home use and storing items in the fridge.
